Lighting Control & Home Automation
Smart, energy-efficient environments for residential and commercial spaces — lighting, climate, AV, and security unified under one interface.
From a luxury villa in Emirates Hills to a 30-floor commercial tower in Business Bay, Netcom designs and installs intelligent lighting control and building automation systems that deliver measurable comfort, real energy savings, and effortless day-to-day operation. We work primarily with open-standard protocols — KNX and DALI-2 — as well as leading proprietary platforms including Lutron, Control4, and Crestron, selecting the best-fit technology for each project's scale, budget, and long-term flexibility needs. In commercial projects, our DALI-2 systems with occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting routinely reduce lighting energy consumption by 30–40%, which directly impacts DEWA electricity bills and contributes to LEED and Estidama green building certification targets. In residential projects, we integrate lighting, climate, AV, motorised blinds, security, and access control into a single intuitive interface — controlled from in-wall touchscreen keypads, voice assistants, or a mobile app — creating environments that respond intelligently to how you live, work, and entertain.

What We Deliver
The full scope of our capabilities in this area
KNX Lighting Control
Open-standard KNX bus system installation for commercial and residential buildings from certified KNX partners — delivering dimming, switching, scene control, time-based scheduling, and occupancy-responsive automation for any project scale from a small office to a 50-floor tower. KNX's open standard means hardware from different manufacturers (Schneider, ABB, Hager, Zennio, Legrand) can coexist on the same bus — protecting your investment if you need to change, extend, or service the system in the future, regardless of who originally installed it. Our KNX programmers use ETS (Engineering Tool Software) to develop and document all configurations, and we hand over a fully commented ETS project file at the end of every project so the system can be extended or modified by any competent KNX integrator.
DALI Lighting Management
DALI-2 certified digital lighting control systems for commercial offices, retail, healthcare, and education environments — providing individual address control of every driver and luminaire on the bus, occupancy sensor integration, daylight harvesting with photocell feedback, and tunable white (2700K–6500K) capability for circadian rhythm lighting in healthcare facilities. Each DALI driver is given a unique address during commissioning, enabling maintenance teams to identify and replace individual failed lamps from the management software without physically searching the ceiling — reducing maintenance labour costs significantly in large, multi-floor installations. DALI-2 systems integrate with BMS platforms via Modbus or DALI gateway, and with energy management systems for DEWA sub-metering and green building compliance reporting.
Smart Home Automation
Integrated home automation systems from Control4, Crestron, and Lutron covering lighting, climate control, audio/video distribution, motorised window blinds and curtains, security camera feeds, access control, and swimming pool equipment — all managed through a single touchscreen, in-wall keypad, or smartphone app that reflects your personal lifestyle preferences and daily routines. We spend time with each residential client during the design phase to understand how they actually use their home: which rooms they want voice control in, what temperature they sleep at, when they want the outdoor lights to come on, and how they want the system to behave when they leave or return — so the automation feels natural and genuinely useful rather than a technology showcase that requires a manual to operate. All residential automation projects are commissioned with a user acceptance session and a 90-day post-completion support period to refine any scenes or schedules that the client wants to adjust after living with the system.
Scene & Schedule Programming
Custom lighting scenes (Welcome, Dining, Cinema, Reading, Relax, Bedtime, Away, and Goodnight) and time-based astronomical schedules that automatically adapt your environment throughout the day — outdoor lights that come on at sunset and dim at midnight, bedroom lights that gradually brighten like a sunrise at your preferred wake-up time, and office lighting that follows occupancy patterns rather than fixed on/off schedules. Scene programming is tailored to each room and each client's lifestyle — a family with young children needs different bedtime scenes to a couple who entertain regularly, and a corporate boardroom needs different meeting scenes to a hotel lobby. We deliver all scene programming as documented specifications before commissioning so clients can review and approve exactly what each button or timer will do before we build it into the system.
Energy Monitoring & Savings
Real-time energy monitoring dashboards showing lighting and HVAC power consumption by zone, floor, or space type — providing the granular visibility needed to identify waste, benchmark performance, and demonstrate compliance with DEWA's green building regulations and UAE Estidama/LEED requirements. Automated energy controls are layered on top of the monitoring data: occupancy sensors switch off or dim lights in unoccupied zones, daylight sensors reduce artificial lighting when natural light is sufficient, and time-based schedules eliminate the energy waste caused by lights left on after business hours. For commercial clients, we produce monthly energy performance reports comparing consumption to baselines and to the previous period — quantifying the financial savings and carbon reduction achieved, which can be reported to your sustainability team and used in ESG disclosures.

Smart Building Management Systems Dubai UAE
A well-implemented BMS transforms how a building operates — providing facility teams with a single platform to monitor and control HVAC, lighting, power, elevators, and security systems. Netcom designs, installs, and commissions BMS solutions for commercial, residential, healthcare, and hospitality properties across the UAE.
IoT Solutions
Netcom designs and deploys end-to-end IoT solutions that give organisations real-time visibility into their physical operations — from smart building sensor networks, cold chain monitoring, and industrial asset tracking to predictive maintenance and utility sub-metering systems. In the UAE, where energy consumption, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance are all under increasing scrutiny, IoT sensor infrastructure provides the data foundation that makes informed decisions possible rather than reactive ones. We select and deploy the right connectivity technology for each application: WiFi and Ethernet for fixed indoor sensors, LoRaWAN for wide-area low-power networks (covering large campuses or outdoor environments), 4G/5G for mobile and outdoor assets, and BLE for short-range proximity tracking — all integrated into cloud platforms including AWS IoT Core and Azure IoT Hub, or fed directly into your existing BMS and ERP systems. Our work doesn't stop at hardware deployment: we build the dashboards, automated alerting workflows, and reporting pipelines that transform raw sensor data into actionable intelligence your operations team can act on in real time.
Audio Visual & PA Systems Dubai UAE
Netcom designs and installs AV and PA systems for corporate headquarters, hotels, mosques, hospitals, retail chains, education campuses, and public-sector clients across the UAE and the wider Gulf. Whether we're equipping a single boardroom with integrated video conferencing and touch-panel control, installing a 200-zone campus-wide public address system with emergency evacuation routing, or deploying a digital signage network across 40 retail outlets managed from a central cloud dashboard — we deliver acoustic precision, visual impact, and total system reliability. Our engineers carry out full acoustic assessments before specifying any PA or projection system, calculating room gain, reverberation time, and required sound pressure levels for each space so you get even coverage and clear speech intelligibility rather than booming echoes or dead zones. We work with leading brands including Bose Professional, QSC, TOA, Crestron, Biamp, and Samsung Display, managing every project from design through commissioning and structured end-user training — all under a single contract with one point of accountability.
